A pheasant afternoon

By tenerifejohn
This image was captured in my cousins garden in West Rainton near Durham. He comes everyday to be fed and this day brought his two lady friends. The bird not my cousin. I spent a pheasant aftenoon shooting away using a method the French call montrez et la pousse. lol . Reminded me of the verse - I am not the pheasant plucker, I am the pheasant pluckers son etc.
Hope you like it.

Je m'excuse, je ne parle bien le franais, comment dtes-vous "montrez et la pousse" en anglais s'il vous plais?

I'm not a pheasant plucker, I'm a pheasant plucker's mate, I'm only plucking pheasants 'cos the pheasant plucker's late.
I used to be in a skittles team called the Pheasant Pluckers, at the end of the evening, the losing team was supposed to give 3 cheers for the winning team. After 6 pints or so, many a captain of the losers declined to observe the tradition.

Woah, he's coming right towards me. Super detailed shot, wonderful colours. I used to use his feathers in craftwork and always delighted in their individual beauty.
