A Postcard from Glen Coe

By MickyMc
Well we are back now and have lots of images to look at but this is to show you how things can go wrong.........

A lot seems to have happened on the site while we have been away and I don't understand it even after reading the forums...So I am going to
a) continue to enjoy the site for its friendliness, even if not all the photographs are perfect.
b)Learn from the members who in my opinion are perfect and who I would love to be as good as.

Nice to see you back Mavis, and so nice you thought of me as your catagory b) here.Although I will say I am not completely perfect.I was wrong once, one day in July 1975 ( I forget the date ),and that was the day I got married !! Yes,there has been plenty happening on the site.No one has uploded any sheep or Morris Dancing pics,so that is to be commended !! Did they have a telly in Glen Coe ? Did you see the last episodfe of Lost ? What the heck was that all about ? Eastenders was particulary violent.Phil Mitchells laddie battered Jorden over the heid with a spanner. That will teach him to leave his spanners lying about !! And it does not look good for poor old Gail in Corrie. That bitch Tracy told the police she battered him over the heid with a rolling pin !! I reckon it is about time these soaps used a bit of imagination. If someone gets murdered,it does not need to be by getting their skull smashed !!
Just tie them to a chair and let them die of boredom watching Hollyoaks !!

Don't worry Mavis I will still continue to give you lessons.
Today's image reinforces my theory that all good photography is luck.Unfortunately you were just there at the wrong time. I bet those people and the car had moved on by the next day and some lucky so and so would have got a cracker.

A very fine composition perhaps a shadow/highlight adjustment just to lift it a little may have helped.

Mavis,

It looks like you had a good holiday. This is a good photo of a well known scene - pity its slightly spoilt by the obstructions in the foreground (I don't mean the car!).
