A prisoner in Eden

By mlseawell
From our recent journey to Sante Fe, a wonderful trove of art that never ceases to amaze. I was waiting on my company when I spotted the beautiful New Mexico Museum of Art across the street so off I went. The adobe structure drew me like a magnet and I loved the light and shadows falling across the building. Suddenly, I looked down and behind the gate, spotted a figure on their knees and it really struck me, the contrast between the beauty of the architecture and the sadness of the lone figure...a prisoner in Eden.

There's a lovely ambiguity between light, shadow and structure. Like this a lot.
