A Quiet Place

By pamelajean
Thankyou all for your kindness in welcoming me back, and the wonderful User Awards given to my flower, to lift my spirits.

There is a little garden of remembrance beside the River Itchen, just beyond the mill stream bridge, in Winchester. Here you can sit quietly, watching and listeingn to the water as it flows by.
These two images were taken from inside the garden, with the bridge and the mill in the background. I particularly like the colour and texture of the old wall, and the pretty spring flowers. I couldn't decide which one I liked best.
(This garden is in memory of Sir Leslie Scott HC 1952).
Pamela.

It is difficult to decide between two versions at times, but I do like the path and handrail leading down to the flowers in v2 SmileSmile

The lead image works best for me, Pamela. I like the way the flowers are framed all around with an array of interesting/contrasting features.

They both look good, Pamela but in v2 the wall is les substantial and lets you into the image more easily.

Lovely composition Pamela, with the flowers bobbing above
And the showing of the arch from bridge
Prefer lead shot as has a little more mystery

I'll go for the second version...

The fact that I lived in Winchester for three years without going there... Maybe that was why I never felt really calm.

Both are wonderful, Pamela, but the lead image stands for me out.
