A rainy sunrise

By cassiecat
The forecast was promising, but alas, it bucketed down. One from an early start a few weeks ago with chris and Tony.

thanks for looking, my absence from the site seems to increase. although i'm out ocassionally taking pics i dont seem to find the inspiration to do anything with them.
Hope that you are all well. lesley x

Love the water and the pier Lesley but find the rocks look a little too HDR and for me does not fit in with the rest of the image.

Praps you needed a break from this site?

A very well composed and exposed image, Lesley: and the long exposure has smoothed the sea and clouds, giving a very pleasing effect.
I had noticed you had not been posting so often and was hoping all was well with you.

I like the rocks as thye anchor the shot well. The colour could be toned down a little perhaps as they seem a little saturated but compositionally they are good. The long exposure has created lovely movement in the sky. Good work I reckon!!

A super image Lesley. The smoothing effect of the filter is great and I think the dramatic nature of the foreground rocks work well with it.

well done on the GEA very worthy
The contrast between the soft and sharp elements of this, together with the lovely colour, makes it really eyecatching.
