A second chance

By Drummerdelight
Last years Belgium champion gets knoked down by the new boxingchampion (version 1). Version 2 also shows the moment where he gets a second chance.
I get feel the emotions coming back looking back and reworking where possible to improve the noise, crop greyscales and more.

I am rediscovering many hundreds of photo's I was asked to take at a boxing event last year. This has been a such a exiting experiance. Although this was complete new world for me, I did my best to get the vibe, the pain and the bodylanguage in the right perspective.

I have been asked to make a documentary series again and therefore I 'm studying many of my better (and worse) captures to see how I can improve...

I wil try to rework a new and existing selection as I feel my Lightroom skills have changed or developed. I 'm doiing this for different reasons, mainly striving for perfection, I want the best posible crop, light, dynamics, greyscales and more... but also as I have been asked to create a (first) exposition... I personaly feel, if I find the courage to do this, it needs to be as good as possible.

Thank you for your respect and comments,
Guy

That tight, clenched right fist is so expressive.

Very much like V2, a well captured dramatic moment.

Never tried shooting boxing yet and I'm not even a boxing fan, but this is really great. I like that you didn't include the head of the boxer on the left since it adds more intensity or mysterious / dramatic effect on this one. The angle here is really cool & different and the black & white effect makes this one more interesting to look at. Your other sports photos are good too. I wish I could be like you... Sad
