A sighter

1A76 0612 Penzance - Paddington passes Silverton

This was the sighter to gauge the length and positioning for the Midland Pullman image. Though not necessary for the shutter speed, the camera was mounted on a tripod to ensure exact replication of the composition.

Not easy to get the GWR green livery to stand out against the background even with full sun on it.
