Excellent composition and looks delicious!
Think I prefer more subdued light in V2.

The props and your lighting are classic still life. Very, very good.

A feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Nicely lit. V2 too soft.

beautiful shot, like the softness in the second one, reminds more of the renaissance

Thanks everyone Smile

I know the look I want but have yet to achieve it - a mix of both versions probably Smile

I'm hunting for a sensibly priced pewter plate but have yet to find one at a price I like - fortunately I found one of the wood platters that dad made the other day (the barn will doubtless produce more goodies yet) so that does the job nicely for now!

Also on the list of wants is a decent bit of wood to serve as a tabletop - this is just the top of an ikea coffee table that I broke up and stained. Not really good enough but it'll have to do for the time being.....
