A Star over Blue Grotto?

By alistairfarrugia
Another angle on the slipway. By going for a narrow aperture, the light coming from a lamp-post provided me with a nice starburst effect. Composed the image to place the starburst on a third, close to the name of the kiosk (?), hence the name of the image!

Hope you like!

Shot taken @ 18mm, f/16, 15" (ISO 400) with a Canon EOS 600D plus EF-S 18-55 lens, mounted on a tripod.

Love the star effect and nice light in the shadows.

V1 wins hands down. It's a tight, tidy composition, with those steps leading us a leisurely route up to the boats. And b&w creates a private feel. Boats tucked up in their beds for the night...
The star burst is a bonus - low pov has placed it high in the composition, I'd actually like to see it a wee bit further left in the frame.

impressive shot, I like the b&w. Great angle and perspective
