A Stranger In A Deserted Past.

By lifesnapper
Hi all and many thanks for your kind comments and votes on my doggy images plus, Carols excellent mod, all very much appreciated. Smile

Just a few months ago today's image would've been near impossible to take without people in it. Just a few feet away from the main entrance to Rochester Cathedral.
As much as I enjoy the interaction of people, sometimes there's something more to be had from a candid image, such as; a different type of body language. It also lends itself to more title opportunities, though I did shy away from: The Lone Stranger for this one. Wink

All the best to all and take care out there.

I was talking about shooting people from behind to give the viewer a chance to see what they are looking at. I think your wonderful image fully shows what I was saying. Great image and the choice of b&w works well. Great job...
Nice frame, great title - good work John GrinGrinGrinGrin

Looking at the picture John it reminded my of those pictures you use to get in primary school books or hanging on the walls.

I have tried to reproduce this with your image, I hope you like it.

Sorry about the double post...

The hair and outfit lend themselves to the scene.
Competition judges always want subjects facing the camera
but a back view can get our imagination going better.
The sepia mod works well.

All the Lonely People
Where Do They All Come From ...

p.s. a very static and rather poignant scene, like this a lot

Diane makes a good point ... even if our friend uses Dove rather than Sure ...

Or a bleak future. Great pov for this shot John. Took me a couple of seconds to recognise
the location. I've never stood on that bit of grass SmileSmile.

I agree John .if there is a silver lining to Covid 19 some of it comes from having more space and time for contemplation. Or as Mark Knopfler put it in a song " I have time to think about time "
Your trusty old canon camera showing great dynamic range in that lovely hued stonework John,
Stellar capture
Best regards
Walt
