A Street In Culross.

By Tooma
Culross, pronounced "Kooros", is a pleasant and distinctive small town in Fifeshire situated about ten minutes drive west from the famous Forth Bridges. It is distinguished by its cobbled streets, charming brightly painted houses, a ruined abbey, and Culross Palace(17th century) with its yellow ochre exterior. Unfortunately, it was closed when we were last there.

Thank you for showing your appreciation Gaspar. The reason you cannot vote is because the pic has not been moved to the Gallery yet, it is in my Portfolio area. Watch out for it. Smile

An image that begs the viewer to step in and talk a walk.
Well composed and taken, Tom.

a fine picture and the facades are so pretty and beautifully textured and i love how the road goes up and takes a turn, pity it's patched-up tarmac, not cobble stones

"“Fifeshire????”
The Kingdom of Fife."

It's correct Alan. It is a "shire" county, like Lanarkshire, as far as I have known for many years. Look it up and you will see many local businesses use "Fifeshire" in their addresses. Ta much for your interest and vote.

Thanks extended to all...... Smile

Many of the streets still have the cobblestones Leo. I'll check through my other shots sometime for another upload, to let you have a look. Thanks. Smile

Very picturesque street nicely composed...............it is a bit of a pity that the road is so extensively patched but not a big deal. Nice one Tom

I should go back sometime when there is snow on the ground, Phil; that would look amazing with all those patches covered. Thanks for your comment and vote. Smile

This is so good the tarmac makes very little difference. Cobbles are better yet this comes off as a total winner regardless. Killer composition and colour. TG
