A Taste of the Tropics.

By Tooma
We were travelling north from Tarbert towards Ardrishaig, about four miles out from it, me driving, watching the winding loch-side road, but still managing to enjoy the views across Loch Fyne. It had stopped raining, the light was soft and brightening, when I came off the gas to better see the amazing non Scottish colour of the water. I had to get stopped, and 400 yards on, I safely did so, and we walked back for a better look.
So possibly a particular algae growing here, in combination with the light, and to our eyes, an unexpectedly beautiful and tropical looking scene.
This shot is all about the colours. I have not used any colour-pushing in post - so you see what we saw, just a de-haze filter - enough to bring out the sky blue, but have no effect on the water - and a wee bit of sharpening.

Who says the sun does not shine in Scotland? All you need is a beach brolly to complete the scene or even a bikini clad figure?
