These two are for Mick {mikbee} whilst he is otherwise engaged with events at the Edinburgh Fringe, and I just hope he does not mind my encroaching on territory that he has made his own.

V 1: WD Mersey, a suction hopper dredger making it's way up river........the aft superstructure is so pristine and at odds with the rest of the ship.
This ship was constructed in Venice and launched in 1984.
V 2: Passing HMS Dragon (D35).

Many thanks to all who commented on and voted for my last posting.......much appreciated.
I apologise for only clicking today.......have been so busy with other commitments.

Ronnie.

I don't think Mick will mind, he seems to have other things on it at the moment, these are great Ronnie. - gary

Nice bit of rust, Ronnie. And I like the contrast with the spotless HMS Dragon.

It's funny how Mick is the rust specialist! But you are giving him a good run for the money, Ronnie. I have to say I love that HMS Dragon - what a beauty! Get more shots of that!

V2 for me Ronnie the older boat looks extremely tatty next to the Royal Navy's finest.

You'll have to explain that remark, Mick. It went way over my head!Wink Totally incomprehensible to meSad

Like the arty grafitti on the RN ship in v2, and it does seem as if the hopper has had a superstructure transplant. Well spotted, Ronnie, and I am sure a tonic for our King of Rust.

Quite a lot of rust here, looks especially ropey against the warship in version two.
