Ditto Andy's comment above. Add to that 'a fantastic elemental mood'.

The art is in its sublime simplicity, the flawless composition and the superb exposure. A beautiful landscape.

Fine capture Dougie. Is this the one near to the boundary between Argyll & Bute and Highland regions?

Works very well indeed Dougie. These lone rowans, safe from the deer and sheep, have always seemed to me to be the spirit of the Moor and Glencoe....you've captured it so well against that sky.

Great composition - all the elements come together superbly. Rock plantings are one of Bonsai culture's forms and this image just shows how Bonsai really is just attempting to emulate nature in miniature. Nice one. Bruce.

I know this tree well - great composition with a menacing sky. Agree with above that it would also make an excellent monochrome image, cheers,
Ian.

Amazing it is a very powerful image in its simplicity and to convey the strength of a tree so well.
