A Trip not taken #29

By handlerstudio

Back from my weekend with my wife, daughter Gabby, son in law Will and my 2 year old grandson, Liam...he is a sweet, stubborn, strong willed, two year old...favorite word is "no". Where he is supposed to be...and he is pretty fearless. We were at an Air B&B in Bird in Hand, PA (Jenn Taggart will know where we were), which is near Paradise, Blue Ball, and Intercourse....Amish country east of Lancaster PA (and serious Trump country, unlike Philadelphia and the surrounding counties). They had a swimming pool...and Liam at the pool had a flotation vest on....and he loved jumping into the pool. Yesterday, as we were done with the pool, Will in dry clothes, and Liam's vest not on....with none of us in the water...he jumped in again. Will, standing there, fully dressed, of course, went right in after him. The difference, in teaching a kid, between "no" and "danger". Photos of the weekend will follow this week.

This is probably my last photo of the trip not taken this summer to Maine. At our friend Rob's house, in Philips in Western Maine (know where that is Joline?) The small town where our ceramist friend Rob Seiminski (look him up online....., his work is truly amazing), and he is a gardener. Here are a few insects from his garden.

I would like to thank Isabel (Chinga) for her continued support and UA.

Maine is famous for its Back Flies--- , in fact I think they were mentioned as early as the -French and Indian Wars-----
