A trip through my town. 10

By gss
Before the today subject, a small information on my yesterday picture (Anglican church): there are no significant delays between the buildings in my picture - only cars are very recent. The big apartments building in the background is only 10-15 years more recent (~1930) than the church; buildings on sides are 25-50 years older than the church (1850-1900).

Now, today upload is the Lutheran Church in Bucharest. That's the common name, as the church is knew by the huge majority of Bucharest people. The official name is "Augustana Evangelical Church" ant it serves in special the German community in Bucharest.
The actual church, was built in 1851-53, by German architect A. Mohnbach in the historicist romantic style of the mid XIX century. Was built with many donations (of the Wallachia ruler Gheorghe Bibescu, the Prussian emperor Friedrich Wilhelm the IV, the Austria-Hungary emperor Franz Joseph, the famous Hungarian pianist and composer Franz Liszt, an many others).
Finally, it had a very eclectic style, mixing Gothic, Romanesque, Byzantine and Renaissance elements. In 1912, a devastating fire, burnt all the upper level. Has suffered many damages under the action of the 1940/1977/1986 and 1990 big earthquakes, but was restored each time. Bombs in WWII (1944) have provoked some damages too.
Has 2 organs: the big one made by E.F. Walcker & Co. Ludwigsburg Württemberg, has suiffered damages in the fire. The small has come from a Saxon village in Transylvania.
Many organ and harpsichord concertos take place there. Recently the church hosted even a jazz concerto.
The church has given even the name of the street where is situated [strada Luterană = Lutheran street]
Building behind the church was built between 1980-85
