A typical Bank Holiday Monday

By TrevBatWCC
As the weather forecast wasn't good for yesterday, and I'm now scraping the bottom of the barrel for new images until I go to Rome, went to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds so I'd be indoors. I couldn't muster up any enthusiasm however to capture anything different, especially with screaming kids all over the place, and the outdoor jousting which they usually have on Bank Holidays was also cancelled because of the weather, so nothing of that either! Sad This was taken looking down the atrium and out of the entrance. As you can see, they weren't many people outdoors!

Wonderful sharpness and detail throughout.
Who wants to go out on bank holidays anyway. As you say, screaming kids, crowds and bad weather.

You have handled the exposure well here, there being both inside and outside elements, Trev.
It rained here all day yesterday so I did not even venture out.
Looking forward to your Rome trip shots in the future.

Looks a rather depressing Bank Holiday Monday for you, Trev, nothing but rain, rain and more rain Sad Hate to tell you, but I spent the day improving the tan on the beach Wink Carol

A good format, making the best of the architecture.

Nice geometrical design (although I wonder if it leans just a bit to the right).
I am more certain about the colour though.
Since it has black and white qualities, and the distant sky was dull, see the result by turning it to black and white.

Must say Trev the the exposure has been handled just perfect excellent balance of light, and the composition works so well, 20-20 mate.

An enterprising shot considering the unpropitious light and population Wink
We spent the afternoon at an indoor barbecue: we would have been washed away outside Sad

Brilliant, not just the photography, but for creating an image that so perfectly sums up the British Bank Holiday.

It does look a little damp out there. A good symmetry to this and I like the perspective, Trev.

Technically a rather difficult image in which to capture, light bouncing around like a baboon on a pogo stick. However you have clearly sorted it out and with the use of great point of view have nailed this wonderful almost perfect symmetrical image.

Don't you like jousting with kids Trev? I do - especially if I win TongueGrin.
This is a very good shot, loads of lines, and as you say - few folk outside. Moira

APart from the outside world visible through the far window, it reminds me of a shot inside a prison hall. Well, I guess the people in this image are prisoners in a way...prisoners of the weather and the shopping bug.
Enjoy Rome, Trev, I am off to Paris in a couple of weeksSmile
