A view to a pool

I explored an area that I never got to when I lived in Leek in my teens, parking behind Ramshaw Rocks, and poking around with a caemra. It was a sunny afternoon - so none of the epic landscapes the meticulous tripod-bearing people catch, and that I admire. But I found things that I really enjoyed taking pictures of, even with the sun high in the sky...

Like the shape of the rocks and the reflection in the water - think V2 brings it out the best GrinGrinGrin

Love the colours and the lines on the rocks John. Also feel that all three works in different ways.

The mod is just lots of masks layers and some tonal contrast.

V2 also brings out the distant scene best, I think. Though I happen to prefer V3.
Good use of the frame, with all the monochrome versions emphasising the shapely line on the left f/g.

P.S.: Just clicked twice by accident on one of the version tabs - the version changed automatically to the lead image. Clicked again - switched back to the version. Works for all versions. Magic Smile

I understand the theme more as a sculpture with a woman's body, than as a landscape. It's an excellent framing, John! All versions are very beautiful, for me the main and V.1.

V3 for me here John, closely followed by V2.
They make the colour version seem lacklustre in comparison, and that's a general observation that I find with a number of mono conversions including my own images.
