A Well Pimped Provost.

By Tooma
I took this set of the rather jazzy looking Jet Provost T.4 at the Dumfries and Galloway Aircraft Museum. It was designed as a 2-seat Jet Trainer, and I think this one may have finished up being privately owned. Not much room for luggage though.

The Vs are some other shots of the aircraft I hope you enjoy. 😎✈

I hope you at least enjoyed your trip and visit, Dora. Frustrating to go a long way and turn up empty in your search.

Pretty wild paint job, for a military trainer.

Some aircraft just look like what they are. The Spitfire looks like a thoroughbred fighter; the Vulcan looks like a menacing nuclear bomber and the Provost looks like the perfect jet trainer. This one is in need of a good wash and brush-up, but is still a classic. I always liked this aircraft - from the time in the late 50s when Hunting Percival sent photographs of it to a begging ATC cadet.

A great set Tom. It looks like it has fallen on sad times, with a need of a bit of TLC, and the ignominy finishing up in a field with sheep!

I love the way the real colour shows through, in places!

It's in need of a bit of renovation.
They were also used for ground attack by Middle East air forces as I seem to recall an alternative colour scheme from my Airfix model days.
