Abandoned building

By simon9924
Fancied a bit of a change from photographing birds so went for a walk over Wheelton Moor to try and find some old farm buildings to photograph. As you can see I managed to find one. I have converted to b&w as the colours were quite poor. Have also had to clone out a few dark spots as the sensor on my camera wasn't clean - hopefully I've sorted that now.

This is my first attempt at this type of photography so any pointers greatly appreciated.

Large version looks good. You've handled the sky well.
Nice one.

Looks good to me. The bw conversion is very good and the composition also just great. Fine detail in the larger view.

Needs to be viewed in the large version to do the stonework full justice...Good detail and atmosphere

Love this type of shot.I might have upped the contrast a little in curves, but its great as it is.

Thank you all for the comments. Martin, I will try playing with the curves to see what I can achieve.

Another thing, not sure if I put the pic in the right category, didn't spot the B&W one!

Good approach and B&W works well in this one. Yes, B&W would be the right category but it is a landscpe so why not.

The black and white makes the scene have its entitled historic fell about it Simon...the tree plays a fine roll in the scene as does the sky detail.
