Abandoned Farm Buildings

By cymru2019
This shot was taken in Mid Wales within a few miles of the Mach Loop. I came across it quite by accident. Whomever looked after this farm in times gone by must have had a hard life because it is in wild countryside and the weather can be harsh. It can be cold in summer up there! Forgetting a pint of milk in winter would have caused a return trip of miles by horse and cart to the nearest shop. Quite what could have been farmed on such a small farm I have no idea, may be chickens at best, as it's too small to rear a flock of sheep.

A fine, well detailed mono image, David.
An interesting and thought provoking narrative.

It certainly looks abandoned and what a beautiful ripple on the slated roof. They must have been hardy in those days, no TV or smart phones!

I like the detail in this, and Black and White suit the type of image.

Thanks Ian for your comments. If you know the story of Mary Jones and her Bible this shot was taken in the same region. Paul - thanks for commenting as well. David
