Abandoned Farmhouse 2, Crimsworth Dean near Hebden Bridge.

By phil99
This is taken from a slightly higher viewpoint than yesterday's upload . The building in that can be seen down below in the image .
There are about 4 abandoned farms in this location on the moors above Crimsworth Dean. This one I think may be part of what Nook Farm on both sides of the track with Sunnyside Farm visible below and which was the subject of my image fron yesterday. The waterfall at Lumb Hole is just down below in Crimsworth Dean Beck itself approx 800 metres away . Crimsworth Dean merges with Hardcastle Crags( Hebden Dale ) at Midgehole . In the middle distance is Hardcastle Crags with Heptonstall Church on the last bit of green . Further beyond again is Studley Pike at Lumbutts Near Todmorden .Both of these features are hidden in this image. Best viewed LARGE for the extra detail . Many thanks for recent clicks and comments ..... Phil

Beautifully composed upland landscape - the f/g diagonal and the path all carry the eye up to the abandoned building which is almost silhouetted against the sky. Lovely work.
Regards, Ronnie.

Another lovely capture, Phil, and very nicely processed, too. That path looks rather muddy - hope you had your boots on!

These photos of abandoned farmhouses would probably work really well in contrasty black and white, too.
