Abandoned Farmhouse, Crimsworth Dean near Hebden Bridge.

By phil99
There are about 4 abandoned farms in this location on the moors above Crimsworth Dean. This one I think may be part of what was Sunnyside Farm. The waterfall at Lumb Hole is just down below in Crimsworth Dean Beck itself approx 800 metres away . Crimsworth Dean merges with Hardcastle Crags( Hebden Dale ) at Midgehole . In the middle distance is Hardcastle Crags with Heptonstall Church on the last bit of green . Further beyond again is Studley Pike at Lumbutts near Todmorden . Best viewed LARGE for the extra detail . Many thanks for recent clicks and comments .....Enjoy the rest of the weekend.....Phil

I have a real penchant for abandoned farm houses. What stories they could tell if they could talk. This is lovely with those tones, textures, sky and grasses in the foreground, Patti

A lovely composition, Phil. The bright f/g grasses contrast so well with the moody sky and there is interest and excellent detail in all areas.
Regards, Ronnie.

The weather seems to fit the cottage if you know what I mean. Good one Phil.
