Aberdaron

By netta1234
This is Aberdaron the tiny but popular little village on the tip of Llyn Peninsula.Last week a big lorry tried to go through and over this tiny narrow bridge, and here's the result,he took half the bridge with him. It's been here over 200 yrs,but the men were there yesterday working really hard on a cold day to re built it.
This is going to be a problem until it's been fixed as where I'm standing taking this image, there's some houses,shops,2 Hotel ,beach and the Church.

V2------From the other side of the bridge

Thanks for all vs +cs yesterday and a special thanks goes to " Irishkate"Kate and
to {Nickonuser1}Cliff for their lovely Award

Fine reportage Netta, an area to avoid for a few days,

It's a lovely little place.
Looks like the workmen are making progress, Netta.
Vehicles are constantly hitting our pack horse bridge.
So far the bridge is winning.
Good shots!

It's a pity you were able to take these shots, Netta - what was the driver thinking about!!??
Nevertheless, it is a very interesting and well taken series - I hope normal service is resumed as soon as possible!!

You always get one.......somewhere.....lurking in the bushes, to try something stupid. It`s the nature of man. Regards Martin

Great record shots. I was in Aberdaron earlier that afternoon and the bridge was OK when I left - honest!

Such a shame for the businesses - I felt really sorry for businesses
ruined by floods in recent years. Maybe the church goers will be glad of a rest though
or maybe that's what sustains them for the week?

What a shame: this bridge was never intended to accommodate some of the traffic we regularly see on our smaller country roads and bridges.
Hopefully it will be repaired soon and allow more sensibly sized vehicles to negotiate it again.
Good reportage set, Netta.
