Absent Friends

By jeanie
I went to Dorset last month for the very first time. Travelling down I thought that I would contact my old friend Kris Dutson, a member of this site since 2002, and meet up for a cuppa. I had bought my very first tripod off him, a Benbo! (Or octapus as it was fondly named!!), in about 2005. I had wanted to visit this location as I had learned of it all those years ago when I joned EPZ in 2004. After spending the sunset stood here taking these images, I returned to my digs, only to discover through another friend, that Kris died of cancer back in June. I had missed the news over on another photo community page (FB) and was quite upset to hear this.

So, in memory of my old pal, here is Pulpit Rock - one of the fantastic locations that was part of his photography playground.

Rest in peace Kris.
