Adam in the Eden Garden

By pamelajean
Adam and Eve returned to Eden, as an addition to the botanical attraction in Cornwall, The Eden Project.
Eve is made out of earth and turf, while Adam is a 20ft tall steel statue that weighs almost 2 tonnes, and is part of the Rope And Fibre exhibition.

The statue, designed by Cornish artist and tall ships skipper George Fairhurst, clutches a huge rope made of plant fibre, as a challenge to see what could be moved using hemp rope.
What is a nice feature is that you can make this very tall sculpture rock backwards and forwards if you pull on the rope attached.

The metal statue of Adam was constructed in the dry docks at Penzance. It took 4 months to put together using sheets of steel. "It's been a mammoth project," George Fairhurst said.

A rather appealing statue, Pamela, how the Eden Project has changed since I saw it.

A splendid sculpture which has escaped my visit to Eden!
Terrific shots but I can't see anything "odd" in V2.

Oh dear, Ju, it's a little bit hidden behind the grasses!
Perhaps he should have had a fig leaf?

Three good images, however, the lead image edges it for me. Its the light and pov that swing it!
