I very much like the unusual ratio of land to sky. It works for me.

Who said a long lens isn't useful for landscapes?

Really beautiful, Dougie.

Over the last few years I have used my 70-300mm lens quite a lot for landscapes, it gives a grand change from wide angles, and a while new perspective to the land.

Thanks for your Award John, very kind.

Obviously some dickhead.

The distance to the shore and imaginative use of portrait format work so very well to give the viewer a true sense of the vastness of this particular vista.

I have found that an awful lot of people will be sufficiently uncertain to refrain from challenging my occasional bad language if I referred to the words in question as 'technical audit terms' - few troubled to refer to the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards, and nobody EVER stays awake all through reading them, so they remaind uncertain.

The nearest equivalent to Alan's term that is actually in there is 'audit client'...
