Shot captured last Saturday afternoon while out birding at the Salina nature reserve.
Shooting into the sun has its pros and cons, the cons normally outweighing the pros. However, if you stick around and persist in your endeavours every once in a while you'll manage to bring off a couple of decent striking shots. This was the case when I homed in on this Seagull releasing the shutter just as it was about to alight on the rocks .... the backlighting creating a lovely effect on the plumage. Quite pleased with the action shot too.
Viewing large looks better.
