I agree with Barbera and your wife, ditch the vase. I don't think the blue tint is overdone.

will try one without the vase - not sure how to get the same angle - how to support the flower.... anyway will redo tomorrow when my brand spanking new 100mmm macro lens comes in Grin

I'm not 100% sure about the blue tint - would be interesting to see it without. Still a nice shot and I like the angle.
