Alf Wight's Statue

By Hurstbourne
23 Kirkgate, Thirsk, North Yorkshire is now a museum but was where Mr. J.A. Wight ran a veterinary practice alongside Mr. D V. Sinclar. Alf Wight is the world-famous author of the James Herriot books. This is the back garden of Skeldale House which is much the same as it was when he lived there and in the background are the original French windows of the sitting room.
