They both have their appeal, Ian; I prefer the colour, mainly because the poster has much more impact and adds more to the shot in the colour version. Smile

Mono for me, Ian, though only just.
There is a strong tendency for us to prefer the first version we are shown; these days I rarely show both mono and colour versions of a single image for that reason. Sometimes it takes me ages to decide which one to upload BlushWink

A bit hard on the bottom, but when you're with friends it doesn't really matter 😁😁

I think the mono lead makes more of a statement between the poster and the people. The colour image makes me wander from one part of the image to another and the lamp post draws my eyes away from the subject intent.
It is a great observation and composition Ian. Nice one
