All That Remains.

Today, something else close to my heart... Ancient history. This one standing column is only half of it's original height and was one of 115 which went to make up the Temple of Hera. According to Greek mythology, the goddess Hera was born and raised on the island of Samos. The temple built in her name, on the sight that you see here, was the largest temple ever built in ancient Greece. The Aeroplane and selfie in this set, are a stark contrast of the modern world.Smile

Excellent set, John, and a good, compact explanation. My personal choice would be to lead with V1 - it's the composition, of course!

Wow had no idea that Samos had a temple that size. I love ancient history as well .... would have been wondrous to see it in its day .
