Along the Riverside 6

By woolybill1
After crossing the Swing Bridge a brisk walk took us along Newcastle Quayside to lunch at the Cycle Hub. Today's long-lens picture shows a a small boat moored just along from the mouth of the Ouseburn. It's still on the Tyne, the start of the stretch known as Spillers Quay after the famous flour mill which used to stand there. No crinkly ripples here I'm afraid; this was now early afternoon and the outflow from the Ouseburn was increasing just as the light became flatter.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful response to Along the Riverside ' to Alan, Malc, Leo, John (lifesnapper), Ian, Peter, Alfie, Pamela, Dave (Jasper87), John (dudler), Ivor and Pascal for UAs for awards for number 5, and to everyone who dropped by yesterday. Greatly appreciated as always.

Compositional excellence as usual, and many delights for the eye.
A b&w, perhaps?

Thoughtful use of the negative space, placing it in the foreground and gathering all the action at the top of the frame.
In this case, no need for the crinkly ripples...
Alan is, naturellement, correct in his b&w suggestion/wish.

perfect composition and the boat colour places a strong accent counterbalanced by a vast negative space

A super image on your series on the riverside walk. Red is always an eye grabber so it gives the image impact with some super reflections to fill the frame.

A stand out composition.
I don't think black and white would enhance it, the red boat does this image proud.
