Thought I'd upload something different today, just for a change. I have to study black and white photography next year so I had a play with one of the shots I took last weekend at Kimmeridge.

I'm quite pleased with the result but comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for looking - have a good weekend everyone!

The sky works even better in B&W than it would in colour here (well, to me anyway!) and the whole makes a very pleasing mono image Debbie.
Good stuff.

Very effective here Debbie, especially the fantastic sky.

Hi Debbie,
Great minds think alike I also was playing with B&W last night - did a mod for you but I know nothing about B&W.
Have a good weekend.

Thank you everyone!

Katie, thanks for doing the mod for me - B&W is a real mystery to me and I think it's definitely something I'm going to have work at. Next year though it's back to film and developing!

Thanks again,

I've noticed that people have a lot of trouble with B&W. I haven't studied it enough but on this one, what works is the structure of the whole scene. The converging lines of the road and other parts of the landscape into a central point. And the sky rounds it off nicely. It will be interesting to see what you do with B&W next term. LOL - Film? Hmm.... sounds vaguely familiar, but I can't quite place the term. I think I'll Google it and find out!

LOL Patrick. I don't know what it is either - I've got to borrow a film SLR from Miles!! But I guess it's a great learning experience. Have a good weekend Smile
