I took a trip on the Watercress Line from Alresford to Alton, and what feature did I like best? Not the steam trains, but the old footbridge. Also, there is an obvious part that fits the Shadows Saturday theme.
Alton is a historic market town in Hampshire. The Mid-Hants Railway WATERCRESS LINE gained its popular name in the days when it was used to transport locally grown watercress to markets in London.
They say, "Let the train take the strain as you sit back, relax, and watch mile after mile of beautiful Hampshire countryside pass you by. The soothing sounds of the steam engine and the beat of the exhaust can be heard over the clickety clack of the train passing over the rails; there really is nothing quite like the sight, sound and smell of a steam train!" and I couldn't have put it better myself.
4 versions. V2 is my personal favourite, but V1 concentrates on the shadows.
