Amazed

By davidhu
Another one from our recent visit to Northumberland. This is Alnwick Gardens. I've fibbed a bit for the title. Strictly speaking this isn't a maze, rather it's a series of interlocking gardens each surrounded by it's own hedge. However an elevated viewpoint and a telephoto lens and hey presto, an instant maze.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice use of vertical! I like the inclusion of the figures, plus the detail of the cobbles to continue the curves.

What a good idea and an excellent composition! Plus the mono of course, which is so suitable. The two people navigating their way through the shrubbery look pretty contented, too.

Beautiful shot Dave, with those wonderful shapes in mono. Despite it not being totally accurate, it's a great title anyway.

A well observed shot Dave and it does look very maze like. I was going to say whjat an amazing shot but your title scuppered that witticism.

Just wondering what this one looks like in colour?

Nice mono Dave...shape and line defined with the lighter hedge tops. Well placed people and a nice bit of brickwork at the bottom.

First class shot. I love the compressed effect of the telephoto, the b&w and the inclusion of the figures just in the right part of the image. John
