Amy

By Mavis
I was in church on Sunday and Amy played the most beautiful Violin Solo. Afterwards I asked her if she would mind if I took a few photos . She stared giggling & couldn't stop but eventually she calmed down a bit and I will show you two more one with her sister. All taken on the Canon G11

I've just tried a 4th image because my new computer didn't seem to be working properly . Matt came round and sorted it out for me AGAIN Wink Hope you can see a bit of difference in size ?

V 1 portrait shot is quite lovely, Mavis: if her playing matches her appearance it will be quite splendid.

I think we have to ask ourselves whether we are on here to post 'snaps' or develop our photographic eye... assuming the former then i will leave commentary to others but assuming the latter i would suggest that a camera position further to the right hand side would have allowed Amy to block the distracting light item on the rear pew / wall.

Personally i think we have to be aware and very critical of our surroundings and backgrounds if we are to improve.

I think you've got a lovely set here, Mavis, despite what philhomer says. It's not a competition, we're here to share our images with others. If I didn't upload because it wasn't as perfect as I'd like it to be, I'd hardly upload at all! Wink

Thank you Phil,
I was taking photos the family liked . Just thought some of you might like to look at themSmile T'wasn't so easy with a compact and there were windows everywhere some filled with orange paper flowers the children had made. Quite fun & i loved the huge BBQ after with all the sausages and Burgers, heaps of different salads and then the Pudding Palace was groaning with Eton Mess, Trifle, fresh fruit salad, loads of different cheesecakes and so much more . I was full to bursting. Yes a lovely time. The sun shone as it is today . We are so lucky . thank you for the help .
