Great point of view, composition and capture with the monochrome processing adding to the appeal.

Thanks for sharing David.

This was a special moment : the building is listed, in all the guide books etc, but is private. We were standing admiring it when someone walked past us, entered the code on the entry phone gadget on the magnificent wrought iron entrance gates leading to the central courtyard and walked in. We quickly asked him if we could view it and he, delighted that someone was really interested, offered us a personal guided tour. It turned out he owned the building, but occupied around 1/4 of it, the rest is let as apartments. His floor, consisting of around 20 rooms, had all been restored in original style. Magnificent period furniture, original paintings etc - must be worth millions. We spent around an hour with him and left with just this one photo, I did not feel I had the right to even ask to take pictures in his private apartment.
