An Apple a Day II

By chase
Taken with the KISS method in mind.
The little pewter plates were a good find (and expensive !! ), they aren't flat or straight so they will be a challenge.
Taken in daylight camera left, the base is a piece of shiny board so decent reflections are hard to come by.I must get me something better. Bg is black velvet strung from a small dress rail.

Raw file converted in Lightroom,a few simple tweaks in photoshop. I thought about dropping on a base line to separate the base from the bg but... I kinda like the 'floating' feeling.

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods very welcome.

The simplicity of this is very attractive, and the dark background sets that lovely red apple off perfectly.

Good reflections can be got by putting your arrangement on a mirror and using black foamboard as a background. Nice image by the way.👍😁

Thanks all.
I have tried the mirror technique and I always get a 'double' image, they are clearer though I must admit. Later in this session I switched to a mirror using the black velvet as a bg. I still wasn't thrilled with the result Sad

Especially nice---

I think the apple on a plate could also stand on its own without a reflection! the apple allows would be good as well----
