Six superb images of these wonderfully detailed charismatic eight-legged monsters Carol. When the quality is this good it proves to be very difficult to pick a winner.

V4, V3, V2 - the others are too scary. Have you noticed the human looking eyes on some of your spiders. I'm too scared to take spider photos, coz I thing they're going to jump on me. I have one image that didn't turn out too bad of a sandy spider with spikes but I was so scared while attempting to take the photo.

I loved your funny comment on my image - yes, I completely understand - I have a 200mm zoom and I can't get close enough - I don't know what is wrong with these birds, I'm a nice bird person Smile and Oh yes the tree is a eucalyptus (thanks heaps for the c & c)

Love your images Carol but not really too keen on meeting up with the live kind - although I am always kind and remove them with the help of a card and glass and dispatch them to the big outside world.Wink

I like arachnids, they do more for insect control than a ton of insecticise.

V6 reminds of a recluse, but can't say for sure as the whole body is not visible.
