An Old, Abandoned Farm House

By gconant
I've always liked the look of this abandoned farm house that I pass on my way for a swim in Lake Champlain.
I particularly like the way that it has weathered and aged

Glenn.

I'm not sure I like the way I've weathered and aged but this farm house has done a lot better. Very atmospheric picture.

I wonder if homeless people stay there sometimes. The roof looks not bad. Great image Glenn.

It would make a fine fixer upper for some one in the. mood--- Even has a really nice shade tree growing next to it.

To answer you question--Feb. 1. we got 15-18 inches of snow--lots still around-- and a few skiffs since--Last night itrained all night--icicles fell off the house--- and little melting. More predicted for the weekend--- At least we a better prepared than Texas..... How is Vermont doing?

Excellent capture of this former pride and joy with its new found rustic charm Glenn , it amazes me how buildings seem to deteriorate faster when abandoned !

It likely raised a few children. Interesting that doors and windows are missing; chimney is falling down but the roof looks tight. But with water getting in other ways there won't be much left of the sills and underpinnings, Well spotted and photographed.
