Sepia gives an organic, peaty look.

Ono images like this have an intrinsic timeless quality. My grandfather could have produced this (on a glass plate.).

Interesting how sometimes we like to use our modern cameras to produce an "old fashioned" image.
I like the brooding feel to this.

A different, and very successful, take on this well photographed view Dougie.

Sepia weather.

I'm sure thare are occasions when a colour shot would come out looking rather like this. My memory suggests that it often happens when 'Scotland', 'holiday' and 'Dudler' intersect...

Dissolving clouds on the move. And one staying put over the mountains. The sepia works well Dougie.

Timing is of the essence, Scotland has a magic that really only Scots are allowed to appreciate.

Sorry John you come from the wrong side of the border, Theresa will want to build a Trump wall between Scotland and England.

I was watching the clouds today, what a treat, so beautiful.
These are interesting, and I quite like the timeless feel that the sepia gives to the scene.

I know, Dougie, I know!

I can imagine Theresa 'improving' Hadrian's effort: I would understand, completely, if the Scots decided to build a second wall somewhere suitable for keeping the English in their place. (And a third round that SSSI-destroying golf course...)

And the magic is apparent, even to us Sassenachs: a clarity and simplicity rooted in the rugged conditions?
