An Owl in flight

By AlanBullGuernsey
I was lucky enough to be able to try a friends Sigma 150-500mm Lens on my Canon EOS1DS MK2. We where on a holiday and went to: The Falconry Centre in the Yorkshire Dales.

I would recommend any photographer to take a day out here, You have so many photo opportunities here. From Bird just sitting or in full flight. Also as I quickly found you do not need that big a zoom lens this was taken at 164mm on a full frame sensors. It's the full un-cropped shot.

Because they fly so close to you, I changed to my 70-200 for some others shot and was still easily close enough.

What A great day out.

A beautiful shot. Very envious. I did a photography day at the international centre for birds of prey at Newent and couldn't for the life of me get anything in flight. Well done GrinGrin
