Ancient Chattels

By Philip_H
One of several shots of Pompeii from my p/f. This is the granary market located at the northwest corner of the Forum. It would have been used to store grain for sale originally. Today it is used as a store for some of the archaeological artefacts from the site.

Thanks for all the C&Cs on 'Power of the Past'.

Best wishes,

An informative opening narrative Phillip. Supported as always with a high quality documentary photograph, which has been captured from a great point of view.

Just before I go Phillip a very quick and rather poor joke, "How much is a Greek Urn?" "I don't know ask him" Boom Boom,

Regards Nathan

Reminds me of a shop we visit from time to time, in OHIO--- they sell similar urns and pots all lined up on shelves--nothing fancy-- you choose what you want and buy!

I like this one, Phillip, a strong composition with the patterns and shapes with good detail.
Well done.

Great comp. What wonderful condition these appear to be in despite their age and the historic disaster they became part of.

Lovely patton picture Phillip, very good angle, nicely taken.

Some of them look in very good condition. Like others, I at first thought it was pottery, freshly made, lined up ready for painting.
