And you're?....

By davey_griffo
It's Midge, of course. We get some well known names at the Pacific Road Arts Centre, in between all the tribute acts for said names. Smile

Actually, the first thing Midge said when he came out on stage was "Have we managed to save this place yet?".
He said he had a lot of happy memories of the place, & it was a damned shame it was closing. When Ultravox reformed, they used it for rehearsals.

Incidentally, for those who didn't see it, or have short memories, the title is a reference to a sketch Midge & Bob Geldof did on the first Comic Relief.
Stephen Fry played the part of a rich bloke they'd gone to for a donation. They got to the introductions, & Fry says to Midge;
"And you're?"
"No you're?"
"No you're?"

I've enjoyed looking through these, you've packed a lot of good stuff into one upload. V1 for concentration, V3 for swing, V4 for spontaneity.

I saw him regulary back in the 70s Davey when he was in the band Slik.
I think some other members left to form the Bay City Rollers,
but the less said about them the better !!
Good set of the rockin Scotsman !!

Thanks for your kind words.

He did talk at length about his life in music, but curiously didn't mention Slik, Mick. I wonder if that has anything to do with where the other members went...

These were all taken from the balcony, Barry. As it was what they call a cabaret night (the audience sat at tables), we weren't allowed down the front for the usual 1st 3 songs. So I'm quite pleased with what I got.
