Anemone Blanda

By cattyal
I treated myself to the afternoon off and set about cutting back an overgrown shrub with a view to eventually removing to completely. Three green garden bags later I figured it was time to stop - the brown bin is full so there's no point in doing any more.

So, I figured it was time to take a pot of these Anemones upstairs for a few pics. Usually I concentrate on one flower but rather liked the soft messy background this time. Natural light with no messing.

I would have cloned out the flower behind it to make a much better image, imho.

Ooooh you've reminded me that it's been a while since I photographed one of these flowers - how many current ePZ members would be surprised if I uploaded a flower shot Wink

Nice one. I think I may have moved the leaves from bottom left out of view, but that's just me Grin

Thanks everyone Smile I bought five pots of these last weekend so now I need to figure out where to plant them - not until I've taken more photos though!

Go for it Cheryl - show them you're not a one, or two, trick ponyWink

As for the arrangement - of course I usually pick flowers off my plants for photos but I simply like the abandoned way these grow so wanted to leave them just as they were - no arrangements, no pp - just au naturel. I'm sure I'll produce something less informal in due course!

I couldn't do a formal flower if I tried lol. This is beautiful. I wish these grew here (I can only find white ones) says she who's got a bit of nerve whining about lack of anemones. Sorry Smile
