Angel of Death

By Philip_H
'The Knife Angel', Kingston upon Hull.

'The Knife Angel' is a touring sculpture and a national monument against violence and aggression. It aims to show the impact knife crime has on people's lives.

The 27-foot (8m) high sculpture is made up of more than 100,000 weapons, which were collected from knife banks from across the country and disinfected and blunted to create the sculpture. The sculpture was created by artist Alfie Bradley at the British Ironwork Centre in Oswestry, Shropshire.

Saw this on the news a few days ago. This image shows just what an impressive piece of work it really is. The news images did it no justice at all. Excellent shot and narrative

This is pretty scarey in more ways than one.
A sign of the times that we live in we seem to be going backwards rather than forwards great image and a thought provoking sculpture.
