This offers a lot of promise. Great pose and striking make up and the lighting works well.

Unfortunately not sharp enough. In this type of image the sharpness on the eyes is paramount. It looks like you have some camera shake and even if mounted on a tripod I believe the 1/50s exposure has not been fast enough to avoid some camera movement. With the lens on a 154mm zoom setting any movement is exaggerated and even pressing the shutter release can be enough to cause this. If using studio flash you should be able to comfortably use up to 1/250s with your 50D which would help minimise the risk of movement. If this wasn't flash then upping the ISO to allow you to increase the shutter speed would have helped.

On a personal note I prefer to see only one highlight in each eye and would have likely cloned one out in this case but this is just a personal preference.

So in summary. Great model, great styling, great pose and expression, nicely lit but just not sharp enough.
