another time

By estonian
very dull & overcast this afternoon which did not deminish our exploration of parts of Limehouse which was a first for both Barbara and myself with over 90 years of London exploration between us....
so a bit quirky - this life size figure by sculptor Antony Gormley creator of the iconic Angel of the North, a piece acquired by Sir Ian McKellen and now takes pride of place in the Thames infront of the Thameside Grapes pub which is also part owned by Sir....

this part of a series of figures created by Antony Gormley, human figures to be put in or next to water.

Nice timing for the lapping wave, and a subject that I am mentally noting for our next visit.
Gormley does human isolation, trapped in self. Setting this here, looking towards one of the busiest locations on this planet, is inspired.

I must go and see this... Beautiful sculpture by the Thames, a nice juxtaposition in the shot. Love the composition, subject and exposure.
