Another view of WB57F

NASA, Martin/General Dynamics WB57F, a much reworked English Electric Canberra bomber, taxing to park at Prestwick Airport, 11/07/14, from this view it amazes just how low the body and wingtips are to the ground

Yes, that's quite a wingspan - a far cry from the original design! It appears to be morphing into a U2. Smile

As far as I've read up on it , this machine does do the same job as the U2, the difference is this one operates at 60/65000 feet, and the U2 goes up to 77000 feet, and is responsible for bringing back readings from nuclear tests, from west and east detonations
